We also provide a venue for authors to get their self-published books into the hands of the public. Mt. Vernon, Missouri

Mt. Vernon Business Expo
A Great Success

Vendors and attendees packed the January 28 Mt. Vernon, Missouri Business Expo.

Kathy Brown displayed books and distributed information about Home Grown Books at the Expo.

Author Zona Crabtree displayed books in her Corn Cave Series. The adventure fiction series takes place in the eastern part of the country in the early 1700s. White Dove, a young Indian girl, is rescued from white trappers by Gray Wolf, a boy from another village. When two young braves try to take her back to her people, the three are followed by the trappers. The story follows the lives of Gray Wolf and White Dove as both villages face problems. The series includes Gray Wolf, The Travelers, White Dove, The Return, and Shadow of the Hawk. Zona’s books are avaiblae at Amazon.com.

Mary Boll offered Expo attendees samples of her famous apple cake as they browsed her display. The recipe is just one of many found in her down-home cookbook series that will truly delight! Mary says her cookbooks are for the busy person because the recipes are quick and easy and call for ingredients usually on hand in the kitchen. MeMa's Manna Recipes for the Busy Person, MeMa's Manna 2: Simple Easy Budget Wise Recipes, and MeMa’s Manna 3: Better Than Take Out are available at Amazon.com.

  1. Awesome news: Wish I could have attended but I believe 2012 will open some opportunities for me to do so. Having a solitary retreat at Lake Ozark and trying to meet deadlines and be "inspired". Congratulations, and know I am bragging you and Home Grown Books (of the Ozarks) up all the time. I add that because our "name" seems to be more popular everyday. Check Google.

  2. We had a good time and sold some books. The HGB girls did a great job of arranging and setting up this opportunity. Thanks, Ladies.
