Welcome to Home Grown Books, a unique bookstore created by authors. Home Grown Books is dedicated to showcasing self-published authors. We offer readers a rare opportunity to discover new talent and to read books not found in traditional bookstores. We also provide a venue for authors to get their self-published books into the hands of the public. All the authors and artists are from or have connections to the Ozarks and represent a wide variety of genres.

Janet Dailey published 57 books with Harlequin. Dailey introduced the “Western romance,” which focused on the female. She is the author of the popular Calder Series!

Dusty Richards the only writer who has won two Spur Awards in the same year (for short story and novel) and was named (“Best Living American Western writer”) in True West Magazine.

Radine Trees Nehring is the creator of the popular mystery series “Something to Die For” and the winner of the 2010 Silver Falchion award at “Killer Nashville.”

Fred Pfister editor of The Ozarks Mountaineer, and author of The Insider’s Guide to Branson and the Ozark Mountains and The Littlest Baby: A Handbook for Parents of Premature Children.

Deborah LeBlanc is an American horror author and is currently serving as the president of the Horror Writers Association.

Patricia Smith was a 2008 National Book Award finalist. Her poem “The Way Pilots Walk” received a Pushcart Prize, and is featured in Pushcart Prize XXXII: Best of the Small Presses.
